Since the very beginning of New Life Midwifery over 14 yers ago, we have proudly offered a diverse array of education and peer support groups and events for our mothers and their families.
From our specialised Your Birth, Your Way and Empowered Parent Village programs to our annual Women’s Wellness Collective Festival, our dedicated team of midwives, health practitioners and special guest speakers are here to support you on this journey into motherhood.

Your Birth Your Way Weekend Intensive Program
Your Birth Your Way is our trademarked, specialised birth preparation education, created by Midwives Alex and Jannie as part of our holistic offerings to our women and their families.
The program draws on a range of experiences with women, midwifery wisdom and various other techniques and modalities that have proven their effectiveness in assisting women to honour themselves as the authoritative knowledge of their own bodies and forge their own path through pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
We do this by meeting you where you are at and providing a simple framework you can start navigating resources, offerings and care your way.
Offered as an alternative to our 8-week program, we run two weekends per year to clients wishing to pay for an intensive run-through of our longer program.
We have one intensive program left on Oct 26 and 27, 2024 with 15 spots available so get in quick to book your spot!
Women's Wellness Collective 2024 Festival

We are equal parts humbled and proud of the huge success of our inaugural festival in 2023 and we cannot wait to build on such a powerful and authentic foundation.

Healing from Birth Circle
Have you been affected by birth trauma? Let’s heal together and find a new way of being in the world.
Trin Tambo, holistic counsellor and Family Constellation Facilitator together with Midwife Alex from New Life Midwifery, invite you to the Ipswich community’s first Healing from Birth Trauma support circle.
This two hour session offers connection, healing and support. This workshop is for anyone who has experienced birth trauma, including partners and support people. Our intention is to help guide you to a place of feeling safe, heard and more connected after experiencing trauma.
This circle will begin with introductions and a grounding meditation, followed by sharing why you have come and your intention for the workshop. We will then do some exercises as a group to drop into a space to support each other, activating gentle steps towards healing ourselves which in turn gives us space to be more present with our partners, children and family.
Includes light refreshments.

Empowered Parent Village Bespoke 8-week Program | July to September 2024
New Life midwives in collaboration with experienced health and wellness practitioners who are passionate about holding the mother, connecting her deeper into herself, her supports and her community.
Our intention is for you to experience a range of movement, education and wellness modalities to feel empowered to live your own path of health an wellness.
Your Birth Your Way 8-week Bespoke Program |
Your Birth Your Way is our trademarked, specialised birth preparation education, created by Midwives Alex and Jannie as part of our holistic offerings to our women and their families.
This course is free for New Life Midwifery clients and can also be purchased by members of the community below.
Your Birth, Your Way programs are structured in 8-week blocks running four times per year, in line with school terms.
During the 8 weeks, online education sessions will run once a week on Thursday evenings from 5.30pm-7pm to accommodate for those people working and/or their partners to attend.
You will receive a Your Birth Your Way resource to take notes and continue your plan for your best birth and postpartum.
Whilst this program will be online, there will opportunity to meet in person at our Meet the Midwives mornings on the 5th Wednesday of the month throughout the year.
Your Birth, Your Way
Naomi of Bloom Exercise Physiology will join us for Your Birth Your Way group this Wednesday.
As a women’s health exercise physiologist she specialises in working with women during the perinatal period and is passionate about helping women use exercise prescription to keep moving during pregnancy, ease aches and pains, prepare the body for birth and train for the physical tasks of motherhood.
Naomi will discuss the benefits of exercise in pregnancy, how pregnancy affects exercise prescription and how movement can be beneficial for optimal positioning and birth.
